Gone are the days when splashing water on their faces was all people did to protect their skin. With each decade, more and more people have realized the importance of having healthy and fresh skin. According to the NDP group, sales of beauty products to consumers are rocketing by 14 percent year over year. After all, good skin is an automatic confidence booster. Are you still struggling to get that acne-free and glowing skin? Worry no more, for I have got your back. Here are 6 skincare trends you must try in 2022.

1. Sunscreen, sunscreen, and sunscreen!

Sunscreen has been my own mantra since the age of 14. Let alone the dermatologists. Sunscreens have become an absolute necessity as global warming is on the rise. Due to UVA and UVB radiations from the sun, many people get sunburns and skin-related diseases all year round.

If you are skipping it from your skincare routine, here is a fact for you. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), UV rays are the primary cause of skin cancer among humans. I’m sure you must rush over to find the best sunscreen after reading this line. Guess what? You should.

However, even people who do use it make some mistakes. Most people start skipping sunscreen during skin care in winter. That can be an unwise step as UV rays can burn your skin even in cold seasons. Therefore, you should religiously use sunscreen every day. Normally, an ounce would be used each day to cover your face and entire body.

2. Growing Use of Serums

Secondly, many people are becoming fond of using serums to hydrate and nourish their skin. I somehow stand on the side of all these serum fans. After all, certain serums work like magic on your skin! These days, several types of serums are skin-brightening serums, acne-fighting serums, hydrating serums, and skin-renewal serums. My personal favorites are the following three by Untouchable Beauty

 Ocean Potion Serum

Ocean Potion is a clear silky serum that is enriched with Vitamin C and hyaluronic acid. It tightens the face and neck area, leaving it ultra-smooth. I especially use it in those areas which are prone to premature aging. Click Buy Now to add it to your skincare shelf.

Brilliance-Retexturing Serum

If you are a woman who is always searching for anti-aging creams or lotions, try this serum. As the name suggests, Brilliance retextures your skin and removes wrinkles and fine lines. It contains glycolic acid, which exfoliates the dead skin cells leaving behind healthy and glowing skin. Buy Now.

Glow Getter- Antioxidant Serum

Glow Getter is enriched with vitamins A, B, C, D, and E. It has a light delicious smell and contains avocado, carrot, primrose, and rosehip. These ingredients help to nourish your skin. Buy Now and leave your reviews in the comment section below.

3.  Use of Niacinamide

Niacinamide is also becoming very trendy in the world of skincare. It is a form of Vitamin B3 that is essential for the kidneys, skin, and brain. For example, it helps to build skin proteins and offers protection from environmental damage. Some of its miraculous benefits include protection against sun damage, oil regulation, and minimization of redness, blotchiness, and pore appearance. In addition to this, niacinamide also deals with sun damage on the skin. However, contact your skin specialist before adding this ingredient to your skincare routine. Before applying niacinamide, use a gentle cleanser like UB’s Fresh-face Clarifying Cleanser. Pat your skin dry. Once you are done, use a few drops of niacinamide 10 percent, and zinc 1 percent on your skin.

4.    Under Eye Creams

No matter how pimple-free your skin becomes, dark swollen under eyes give your face a tired look. Therefore, many people have begun to pay attention to their under eyes as well. The use of eye creams helps to prevent dark circles and moisturize the undereye region. They also help to reduce puffiness and prep up the skin for makeup. One of my favorite undereye skincare products includes Bright Eyed Beauty by UB. This undereye cream has a heavenly smell and is enriched with hyaluronic acid that helps to moisturize the undereye region. In addition to this, I also use Bright Eyed Beauty on my neck region and believe me, it works like magic!

5. Home treatments

The popularity of at-home treatments also continues to be on the rise. More and more people depend on hydrating and renewal treatments that can be performed at home. They are searching for ways to get the results that normally treatments worth thousands of dollars would yield. This is when skincare brands like Untouchable Beauty become very resourceful. Their Tropical sunshine-Enzyme mask is a must-have if you want to say goodbye to dead skin cells, wrinkles, and uneven pigmentation. This fruity mask formula has carotenoids, vitamins, and enzymes, which gently exfoliate the skin and leave it soft and silky. In addition to this, UB has a wide range of organic cleansers such as Radical Cleanser and Fresh Faced. All these products can be used at home easily.

6.    Use of Sustainable Products

This new trend is especially close to my heart. The growing environmental damage calls for immediate action by mankind. The use of hazardous and unfriendly products has been one of the primary reasons behind global warming. Such environmental concerns are motivating individuals to use sustainable products only.

Even when it comes to skincare and make-up, the demand for safe and eco-friendly products in the market is on the rise. Will this trend save the world from further damage? Like most of you, I am positive that it will have a significant impact on the current situation.

Final Words

New trends will come and go. However, these were some of my favorite skincare trends from 2022. Give them a try and let us know about your reviews on each one of them. Don’t forget to apply sunscreen and cleanse your skin every day. Wishing you the very best of skin.
